STILLWATER, MNThe Birchwood houseAn 1,800 sq ft split-level, remodeled twice, then grown by a two-story, 600 sq ft addition with a full master suite on the new top floor. Five years of photos, in order.
STILLWATER, MN · BUILT 1878The Myrtle houseAn 1878 house, bought on the second try, gutted to the studs where it needed to be: new electrical, plumbing and heat to both floors, a sinking addition pulled back together, two roofs re-sheeted, three new bathrooms, a master suite, a new kitchen, the original clapboard uncovered and painted.
WILLERNIE, MNThe Willernie houseA two-bedroom rambler that sat in a bowl. Excavated and waterproofed the foundation, ran drain tile and a deep French drain, then added a third bedroom with an egress window in the dried-out basement.
LAKE ELMO, MN · BUILT 2021The Lake Elmo houseThe one I had built instead of rebuilt: a 2021 Pulte house. My work here was the basement: a TV nook under the stairs for the kids and their friends, and an aquarium set into a wall, run by a Raspberry Pi.
